It's the look and beauty of wood, without the intensive maintenance. With fiberglass sheathing inside and out, there's no need for the regular varnishing commonly associated with the ownership of a wooden boat.
There is available inventory of all my handcrafted canoe models. In addition to finished canoes, there are a number of hulls completed in redwood and pine, as well as western red cedar; if there were a specific hardwood desired for trim, or perhaps you have an idea for a custom design in the decks, I would be happy to work with you to create a personalized canoe and paddling experience.
